When Suni reached out for her maternity and newborn session, she had a vision in her mind. She wanted to heavily focus on black and whites and some very dramatic studio posing. I can’t tell you how obsessed I was with her vision and sort of wishing everyone wanted to go this route. Of course she showed up glammed out with her hair and makeup done and was absolutely stunning.

We started her Edmonton maternity session with a long sleeve turtle neck body suit. This showed off her gorgeous legs and her beautiful round tummy. I grabbed a sleek looking metal stool and brought that over for her to also sit on. I think they turned out lovely. I’ve gotta say that I’m Super impressed with how mom incorporated her vision into her session prep shopping. She grabbed a few amazing items at Simons as well!

This dress fit her perfectly, and hugged her beautiful pregnant tummy in all the right spots. I definitely need to grab a few different colours of this dress for the client closet at the studio too! That’s the one of the best perks of coming to my Edmonton Maternity Studio, because I have a client closet with a variety of different looks for pregnant mama’s to choose from! It takes the stress out of trying to find something to wear, and just grabbing what I have to make things stress free.

We know that a maternity session just isn’t the same without showing off some beautiful skin and that round pregnant tummy! Suni was a complete dream to photograph and she gracefully slipped into all the directions and prompts that I gave her. The great thing about studio light is we can do your maternity session at any time of day, because we don’t rely on the sunlight! I find this so much less stressful because our weather can be such a pain to work around!!!
