Photographing newborn twins is always special. Each baby has their own personality, yet together they share a unique bond that can be seen in every little movement. My goal during this session was to highlight both their individuality and their connection. I wanted to create timeless images that will forever remind their parents of these early days.

We began with the classic swaddled poses. Wrapped snugly in soft cream and beige fabrics, the twins were placed side by side, their tiny hands peeking out, and their faces turned toward each other as though they were whispering secrets only they knew. This pose beautifully captured the comfort and closeness they feel simply being near one another — a bond that began long before birth.

One of the most requested twin poses is having both babies curled up together in a single wrap or bowl. For this session, we used a rustic wooden bowl lined with soft layers. The boys were positioned so their bodies created a natural yin-yang shape, their tiny feet and hands intertwined. This pose is a true favorite because it mirrors how twins often rested together in the womb, making it both natural and incredibly heartwarming.

Of course, it’s equally important to highlight each baby on their own. We took time to gently pose each boy in classic newborn positions. These portraits gave us a chance to show off their unique features. Their individuality shone through, while still keeping the soft, dreamy look that parents cherish.

No newborn session is complete without capturing the little details. We zoomed in on their tiny fingers wrapped around each other, their soft wisps of hair, and the delicate eyelashes resting against their cheeks. Parents often tell me these close-up images become some of their most treasured photos, as babies grow so quickly that these tiny features change in the blink of an eye.

One of the highlights of every newborn session is including parents in the portraits. For this family, we photographed each baby cradled in Mom’s arms, followed by both boys snuggled together against Dad’s chest. Then came the most touching moment — the family together, with both parents holding their precious twins, gazing down with absolute love. These images not only capture the babies, but also the overwhelming joy and connection of the new family.
